Idaho’s Premier Talent Competition: July 10th

The FSHD Society, Idaho Chapter,  will be hosting the first annual Idaho Talent Fest to Cure FSH Muscular Dystrophy. This competition will not only spotlight and celebrate many talented individuals, but will also raise funds and awareness for those suffering from FSH Muscular Dystrophy.

Finalists will have the honor of performing live in front of judges and a live audience at the Idaho Talent Fest, which will be held this July at the performing arts theater in the Nampa Civic Center.

Awards of $1,000, $500, and $250 will be given to our first, second, and third place winners respectively. There will also be a people’s choice award determined by the live audience and a very special award given to the hero who raises the most money for FSHD.

ABOUT FSHD

Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD) is the most prevalent form of muscular dystrophy; a devastating, muscle-wasting disease. As one of the many who are personally impacted, I have started the Idaho Chapter of the FSHD Society and we are hosting the First Annual Idaho Talent Fest to Cure FSHD.  This competition will not only highlight talent in our community but raise awareness and funds for patient programs and research progress for those suffering with FSH Muscular Dystrophy.

All proceeds from the event benefit the FSHD Society, a 501(c)(3) charity that is lighting the way to a cure for FSHD.  Our work is fueled almost entirely by generous donations from affected families and those who want to make a difference.  We are a world leader in serving patients and driving research for treatments and a cure.

Together we can put an end to FSH Muscular Dystrophy and give back the quality of life to nearly 1 million men, women and children worldwide affected by this debilitating disease.
